Some concepts are best understood through the use of media. The following three Youtube videos explain Bitcoin, each in their own, unique way. Whether you are looking for a technical, straight to the point explanation, or a ton a of beautifully designed graphics, between these three videos, you will find useful Bitcoin analogies and information.
Bitcoin explained and made simple | Guardian Animations[embedyt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4g1XFU8Gto[/embedyt]
This video, presented by The Guardian is beautifully designed. The description states that “In 190 seconds we explain what bitcoin actually is, where the idea came from and the impact it’s having around the world.” The graphics make it easy to understand sometimes complex ideas associated with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies although the video does move quickly.
How Bitcoin Works in 5 Minutes (Technical)
As noted in the title of this video, this explanation is extremely technical. It gets straight to the point. This video uses graphics as well, but they are nowhere near as thorough as the Guardian’s video. One great aspect of this video is its consistent use of examples with real names and real numbers. This makes it easy to understand how Bitcoin can work in the real world. The video uses to same two people examples ( Alice and Bob ) and walks the viewer through several different scenarios they could experience while using Bitcoin.
How Does Bitcoin Work? By Tech Quickie
This episode is a follow up to their first, high-level overview video. The host is engaging and makes his information interesting through his delivery. He addresses common questions non-Bitcoin users have such as “why would someone want Bitcoin?” He also addresses less well known Bitcoin facts, such as the ability to use Bitcoin to pay for a VPN. While the graphics in this video are not as appealing as the other two videos, the personal touch of the host make it extremely digestible.
